AI closeout review
A closed job should mean the work is documented, not just marked done. Photon reads the technician's notes, the completed forms, and the booked service against each other before your office approves — and shows you exactly which words it's reading, not a verdict out of nowhere.
This isn't the Ask Photon assistant that answers questions about your account — it's a separate, purpose-built capability that reads a job's closeout evidence before your office approves it. Same name, different job: one answers questions, this one checks paperwork.
Every closeout runs through a set of plain, deterministic checks first — is there at least one photo, are the required form fields filled in, does the note actually describe work, is there an invoice (or a stated reason there isn't one), was a follow-up booked if the outcome implies one's needed. None of that needs AI; it's just checked every time.
On top of that, Photon reads the technician's note, the completed form answers, the outcome, and the booked service as text — not the photos themselves — and judges whether the work described actually matches what was booked, whether the note is substantive, and whether a follow-up is implied but missing. Every judgment comes with a quoted excerpt from the actual source text, checked to make sure that excerpt is real before it's ever shown — Photon can't cite something that isn't there.
It's advisory. A flagged item is labeled for your office to look at before approving, but approving is still a person's decision — nothing here blocks a job from closing on its own.
How it works
Notes, form answers, outcome, and booked service — compared as text, not an image scan.
Every flag comes with the actual excerpt it's based on, checked to make sure it's really there.
Photo present, required fields filled, invoice exists — deterministic checks that don't depend on AI at all.
A flagged item is a suggestion for your office to look at. Approving is always a person's call.
No — Ask Photon answers questions in the app. This is a separate capability, also branded Photon, that reads a job's closeout evidence before approval. Same name, different task.
No. It checks that photos exist, but the AI reading is based on text — the technician's note, completed form answers, the outcome, and the booked service.
No. It flags items that look incomplete or mismatched for your office to review, but approving a closeout is always a person's decision.
Every judgment has to be backed by a real excerpt from the source text — notes, form answers, the outcome. That excerpt is checked server-side to confirm it actually appears in the source before it's ever shown to your office.
