Permit numbers go missing for ordinary reasons: a permit tech never emailed it back, an old job was imported without one, or the number lived in someone's inbox and left when they did. Chasing it down by calling the county one job at a time does not scale past a handful of open permits.

Setup starts with your market, not ours. Choose your state, tick the counties you pull permits in, and every authority inside them is added at once — county departments and self-permitting cities alike. Add them one at a time or take the whole county in a click. Where a portal needs your login, you store it and it is encrypted; on most portals no login is needed at all, and the screen tells you which is which.

From then on SolarProjeX scans your open permits every night against public permit records for the jurisdictions you claimed. Matching runs on address, never on contractor name, so a permit pulled by a different contractor of record, a homeowner, or a prior installer still matches your job correctly.
