SunProjeX connector
Pool heating and domestic hot water do not price like PV — they price on surface area, occupants, gallons per day, shading, wind and loop type. SunProjeX does that sizing properly. The SunProjeX connector brings the resulting proposal into SolarProjeX so a thermal sale appears in the same pipeline as everything else.
A pool heating job is sized from pool surface area and shape, whether the pool is screened, shaded or exposed to wind, and how close it sits to open water. A domestic hot water job is sized from occupants, gallons per day, tank capacity, panel selection and whether the loop is open or closed. None of that fits a PV proposal tool, which is why thermal quotes so often end up in a spreadsheet nobody else can see.
SunProjeX is a dedicated solar thermal design platform — pool heating and DHW — with its own sizing model, its own pricing, its own customer-facing proposal page, an emailed one-time code that proves the customer controls the inbox, and a stamped signed PDF. It is where a thermal proposal should be built and signed.
The connector closes the loop. SolarProjeX imports the project — type, sizing inputs, pricing and status — resolves it to an existing customer by phone or email rather than by name, and mirrors it into the sales pipeline. Draft, sent, won and lost map straight across, so thermal shows up in forecasting and reporting alongside every PV sale.
How the connector works
Pool and DHW sizing happens in the thermal design platform built for it, not shoehorned into a PV proposal tool.
Browse thermal projects from inside SolarProjeX and import the ones you want. The customer is matched or created automatically.
The imported estimate is a mirror. SolarProjeX will not resend it, re-sign it or let someone edit its numbers into a second answer.
A thermal sale lands in the same pipeline, the same forecast and the same reports as a PV sale. No separate spreadsheet.
SunProjeX. It owns the customer-facing thermal document end to end — the shared proposal page, the emailed one-time code, the signature record and the stamped signed PDF. SolarProjeX deliberately refuses to send or re-sign an imported thermal estimate, so the customer only ever sees one document.
Re-import. The mirror refreshes from the source. Numbers are never edited on the SolarProjeX side, because a typed correction would become a second answer to the same question.
No. Customers are resolved on phone or email, never on name alone — the match rule that stops two records for the same household.
Yes. Thermal service and repair quotes work exactly like any other service quote. The connector is specifically for new thermal system sales, where the sizing model lives in SunProjeX.
Only if you sell solar thermal. PV-only contractors never touch it. If you do sell pool heating or hot water, it is the difference between quoting from a real sizing model and quoting from memory.
