Sales estimates
Most field service software can only fix a system somebody else sold. SolarProjeX prices the new system too — a numbered estimate, a branded PDF, an emailed link the homeowner signs from their phone, and a pipeline the whole company can see.
A quote on a service ticket assumes the customer, the address and the work order already exist. A new system sale starts before any of that: a lead, a design, a price per watt, and a homeowner who has not agreed to anything yet. Forcing one into the other is how proposals end up in a spreadsheet, in someone's sent folder, and nowhere the rest of the company can see them.
Sales Estimates are their own document with their own numbering line. A rep builds the pricing — gross, adders, discount, net, and the resulting dollars per watt — generates the PDF, and emails a link. The homeowner opens it, reads it, and accepts, declines, or asks a question right on the page. Their signature and the moment they gave it are recorded. Staff get notified the second it lands.
Nothing is created behind your back on acceptance. SolarProjeX tells the people who need to know, and a human decides what the job actually looks like. The estimate stays attached to the customer either way, so a proposal that went quiet is still findable six months later.
How it works
Gross, adders, discount and net, with dollars per watt updating live so a rep can see the deal shape while they build it.
A branded PDF and a secure link, emailed from the platform — not a PDF a rep exported and attached by hand.
The homeowner opens the link, reads the proposal, and signs. Accept, decline or ask a question, all on the same page.
Acceptance notifies the people you name. No polling a folder, no discovering a signed proposal a week late.
A quote assumes a job already exists and converts into a work order. A sales estimate is for selling a system that does not exist yet — it attaches to the customer, needs no job, and never force-converts into anything.
No. They open a secure link, read the proposal and sign in the browser. No login, no app install.
SolarProjeX records the signature and notifies the staff you have named on the alert list. It deliberately does not auto-create a job — a person decides what the work actually is.
Yes. SolarProjeX can pull a project across from a connected design platform, match it to an existing customer by phone or email, and open a draft estimate already populated — rather than making a rep retype it.
