Design Studio
Most shops design in one tool, price in a spreadsheet, and propose in a third. Design Studio builds the roof from satellite imagery, lays out panels with real collision and setback checks, prices it against your actual equipment costs, and turns it straight into a proposal — on the same platform that runs the job after it sells.
Design Studio starts from satellite and aerial imagery of the actual address and builds the roof's planes automatically — pitch, azimuth, eaves, hips, ridges and valleys. Where a shadow or an unusual junction makes automatic reconstruction uncertain, manual tracing tools finish it in the same screen, so a hard roof is still never a dead end.
Panel layout is a real editor, not a static template: select, move, rotate and delete planes, drag corners, drag the azimuth compass, and switch a flat roof into its own independent rack-tilt and panel-azimuth mode. Every panel respects full-polygon collision checks against obstructions and roof edges, and an obstruction can carry its own clearance setback — a vent with a 3-foot keep-out behaves differently from a plain roof penetration.
Pricing pulls from your own equipment registry, not a generic default. Load your real manufacturers and products — panels, inverters, batteries — link each one to your Price List, and the design prices against what you actually pay, with PV pricing and battery pricing tracked as genuinely separate line items, never blended into one number.
The proposal it generates is the same proposal editor used for sales estimates elsewhere in SolarProjeX, and it's protected by the same frozen-document system: once a proposal is sent, its terms can't quietly change out from under a customer who's already looking at it. Code and jurisdiction checks are scoped to where they're actually valid — Florida-specific rules apply only to Florida properties, every other state gets a review-required flag instead of a wrong answer, and an under-certified module gets a visible warning rather than being silently allowed or silently blocked.
How it works
Satellite and aerial imagery build the roof's actual planes — not a rectangle you resize to guess the shape.
Move, rotate, and place panels with true collision checks — plus a dedicated mode for flat roofs.
Your own equipment registry and Price List drive the number, not a generic placeholder price.
The same design turns into a proposal protected by the same frozen-terms system as a sales estimate.
Yes — Design Studio pulls satellite and aerial imagery for the actual address and builds the roof planes from it automatically, with manual tracing available to finish any part the automatic build can't resolve cleanly.
Yes — load your own manufacturers and products into the equipment registry, link them to your Price List, and the design prices against what you actually pay.
Yes — a flat roof gets its own independent rack-tilt and panel-azimuth settings instead of being forced through pitched-roof math that wouldn't apply.
No — proposals use the same frozen-document protection as sales estimates. Once it's sent, the terms the customer is looking at don't silently change.
Florida-specific code rules apply only to Florida properties. Every other state returns a review-required flag instead of guessing at rules that don't apply there.
